Town of Angelo Tax and Dog License Information

It’s once again that time of year!
I want to take a minute to introduce myself. I am your new clerk/treasurer and am
working to learn the ins and outs of this position. You are all cordially invited to the
Town Board Meetings which are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in
the Town Hall.
New Changes For This Year!
* Tax payments need to be mailed to Town of Angelo PO Box 18 Sparta WI
54656. The county has a new tax software program, and it must be
operated on high-speed internet. Please include a stamped self-addressed
envelope if you want a receipt mailed back to you!
* Please include a phone number on your payment check. This is
very important if I need to reach you with questions or any payment issues.
* Dog Licenses WILL NOT be accepted by the Town of Angelo this year. This
is also due to the new tax software. Please see the enclosed pamphlet for
instructions on how to go about licensing your fur babies for 2026.
The lottery credit is distributed in the same manner it was last year. Please check to
see that you have been given the credit due you. As before, if your escrow check is
greater than the taxes, we will mail you a check for the change after the next Board
meeting.
Please make your checks out to the Town of Angelo Treasurer. Please no cash!
There will be a 1% interest penalty per month on all delinquent taxes.
A change of address form is enclosed in case your address is incorrect.
For those that do not wish to mail your payments: I will be at the Town Hall from 4-7 p.m.
on Tuesday, January 13th prior to the board meeting. I can collect your payments, but a
receipt will need to be mailed if you choose.
Please also remember that the post office has been slow recently, so it is recommended
to send your tax payments early to avoid any penalties.
