♦ The Town has a lawyer and a citation procedure to deal with those not willing to
respect the Town ordinances.
♦ Disposal Center Hours:
– Winter Hours (October 15th – March 25th ) 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
– Summer Hours (March 28th -October 14th) Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 7
p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
♦ Disposal Center: Rules are in place for the Disposal Center. It is important that
we respect the necessary rules for the Disposal Center and the landfill attendant.
Violators will have their privileges revoked.
♦ Trash must be in the Angelo bags. No other bags are allowed.
♦ Larger items that do not fit in the Angelo Bags can be placed into the
adjacent dumpster.
♦ No batteries- due to fire potential
♦ No oil of any kind should be put into the recycle dumpster. No oily
containers or pizza boxes. It will ruin the entire load.
♦ Plastics, aluminum, and cans must be clean and flattened.
♦ Glass bottles should be clean and unbroken.
♦ Cardboard needs to be clean and flattened, paper must be clean.
♦ Recyclables go into the recycle dumpster as is, not in a plastic bag – to reduce
air pockets. Plastic shopping bags are not recyclable here.
♦ If you have questions, check with the attendant. Some metal can be
recycled. NO demolition materials, wet paint cans, vehicle batteries, tires,
oil, electronics, pesticides, or fertilizer.
♦ Bags for the Disposal Center can be purchased at Eddies on Highway 21, Kwik
Trip on Highway 16 and the BP Travel Center off of Highway 16.
♦ Burning Permits are available from the DNR by phone: 888-947-2876 or online.
