Town Board Meeting Minutes 5-12-2026
These minutes are pending approval at the June 9th, 2026, board meeting.
The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 p.m. in the
Angelo Town Hall on May 12th, 2026.
1. Supervisor Brown moved to approve the April 21st, 2026 minutes. Second
by Supervisor Geier. 3-0 Motion carried.
2. Discussed camping permits and/or ordinances (number of days living there).
Attorney is out of town for another week. Supervisor Brown will follow up.
3. Mitchell Kirk; Colt Kirk – C&M Storage Units – (adding units on Goodwater
property). Concerns were brought up by neighbors regarding additional traffic
and lighting. They are requesting a mitigation plan and light pollution survey.
Representative from C&M Storage plans on attending the June meeting.
Discussion has been delayed to next month.
4. Discussion and Possible Action on Ordinance Issues.
a. Tucker – owner passed away. Lori Stietz is listed on the deed. Photos have
been sent by Supervisor Brown.
b. Mobile Home Park – no address/lot signs and one unit still has garbage
build up. Supervisor Geier is working with owner. Permits may not be granted.
c. Crocker – Lawyers are involved, talking to estate.
d. 15607 Hat – Skirted camper still on property, Supervisor Brown will review
with letter and attorney follow-up. Owner Louise Cruz Nicholes is currently
out of town. No one is currently staying in the camper, but he is interested
in being able to stay in it. Will need to follow up once the camper and
mobile ordinance is solved.
e. Vian County Trunk AA – County health and animal control has been
called. Chairman Leverich will follow up at the next County Board Meeting.
f. 10214 Hwy 16 – cars and junk. Notice will be sent
g. 10230 Hwy 16 – scrap, junk, and someone living in camper
h. 14097 Haven Ave – camper and deck. Need to review permits and/or
ordinances with attorney.
5. Signs were made stating no large furniture or lumber accepted. Frank Lamb will
post signs at the disposal center.
6. Road Maintenance
a. Inspiration – Signed contract with Kevin Schmitz
b. Hilltop and Janus ($10,000)– shoulder fix – Van Tassle
d. Infield has water damage. Chairman Leverage will discuss with the county
7. Treasure report was handed out.
Alcohol forms were mailed out.
Noted we received notification from Xcel they will be doing pole maintenance.
This year is a re-evaluation year for taxes, you may see the assessor walking around.
Received notice from Erv’s Sparta Area Fire Protection District the term of our current representative, Steve Treu, to the Board of Trustees of Erv’s Sparta Area Fire Protection District expires on June 30th .
It as also brought up to see if we could get a scrolling marquee on our website to add information as it comes up. Janet Evans will check.
8. Approval of Bill for Payment – Supervisor Geier moved to approve the bills
before the board. Second by Supervisor Brown. 3-0 Motion Carried.
9. Supervisor Brown moved to adjourn at 7:31 p.m. Second by Supervisor Geier. 3-0
Motion Carried.
