Town Board Meeting Minutes 3-10-2026

The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 p.m. in the
Angelo Town Hall on March 10th, 2026.

1. Supervisor Brown moved to approve the February 10th, 2026 Minutes. Second
by Supervisor Geier. 3-0 Motion Carried.

2. Lynn Luckasson reviewed the Rural Insurance policy premium for 2026-2027.
Supervisor Brown made a motion to accept the proposal for insurance. Second by
Supervisor Geier. 3-0 Motion Carried.

3. The Sparta School District reviewed the upcoming referendum on the April 7th, 2026
ballot. Discussion occurred. Superintendent Sam Russ and School Board Member
Burns-Gilbert were in attendance.

4. Janet Evans gave a review of the town website updates and well as a .gov review.
The .gov domain is free and the .gov emails are $5.99/month/email account. Janet will
work with our web designer to accomplish this project. Supervisor Brown motioned to
go ahead with the .gov emails and .gov domain. Second by Supervisor Geier. 3-0
Motion Carried.

5. Clerk & Treasurer Updates – Gary Peterson was also elected by oath, appointed by
the town clerk, title of Special Election Clerk for the Spring Election (3/10/2026-
4/18/2026)

6. A drop box is being looked at for the town hall. This will be up before the 2026 tax
collection season. A new bulletin board will also be installed by that time.

7. Ordinance Issues:
Tucker – starting to look rough, Supervisor Brown made contact, no response
Collons/Cleary – the fence is back up will continue to monitor
Richards – no further action
Mobile Home Park – still no address/lot signs and one unit still has garbage build up.
Supervisor to follow up before the April 2026 meeting
Crocker – Sale of property expected
15845 Hwy 16 – responded to attorney letter. Vehicles are being cleaned up
15607 Hat – Skirted camper still on property, Supervisor Brown will review with letter and attorney follow-up

Vian – County Trunk AA – continue to review

8. Discussion on disposal center. Frank needs everyone to break down their recyclable
boxes. No additional action taken
9. Roads – road tour was completed. See attachment in file for 2026 projects.
(Available by request from Town Clerk) Supervisor Geier made a motion to approve the 2026 road plans
and Supervisor Brown Seconded. 3:0 Motion carried.
Discussion occurred with several residents in attendance about a plan for Heather
Avenue. No action taken and this will be added to the agenda for the next board
meeting and residents in that area are encouraged to review options.
10. Public Comment – Town of Angelo is looking to split the clerk/treasurer position.
Anyone who is interested in a position, please contact Jim Leverich. This will also be
added to the upcoming annual meeting agenda.
11. Approval of Bills for Payment – Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills before
the board. Second by Supervisor Geier.    3-0 Motion Carried.
12. Supervisor Geier moved to adjourn at 7:55 p.m. Second by Supervisor Brown. 3-0
Motion Carried.
