Town Board Meeting

1-9-2024

The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 p.m. in the Angelo Town
Hall on January 9, 2024. All board members were present.

Minutes were accepted as on the website.

Supervisor Brown moved to accept the Sullivan Building Inspector Contract for 2024-2025. Second by
Supervisor Geier, motion carried. 3-0

Mr. Sullivan was asked about an hourly rate for work involving condemnation for example. A lawyer
and an insurance company could also be involved in the situation. Since each situation will be
different, it was agreed that discussion would be necessary.

Supervisor Brown moved to accept the Command Central contract. Second by Supervisor Geier,
motion carried. 3-0

Supervisor Brown moved to approve the Oakdale Electric work permit. Second by Supervisor Geier,
motion carried. 3-0

The Lemonwire work permit involves fiberoptics, therefore the board needs a signed form from the
company making sure the town has no liability.

Ordinance issues:
Supervisor Brown sent letter to Hahn and Stelter. He will discuss with the lawyer about sending
letters to Exline, Stelter, and Williams.

The Mobile Home Park has not made progress.

Disposal Center:
Letters to Cobb and Atteln will go out. With the snow cover, burning of the brush will be
possible.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve the list of election workers. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion
carried. 3-0

Supervisor Brown moved to raise the wages by $2.50/hour. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion
carried. 3-0

Supervisor Brown will discuss the lot signage with the fire chief. It will be on the February agenda.

Supervisor Geier moved to approve of the extension of the assessor’s contract for another year. Second
by Supervisor Brown, motion carried. 3-0

Ernie Jahn suggested that we look into the statute that would limit the ability of the city to take our
land.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills as presented before the board. Second by Supervisor

Geier, motion carried.3-0

Supervisor Brown moved to adjourn at 7:54. Second by Supervisor Geier.
