                                      Town Board Meeting

4-16-2024

 

The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 pm. in the Angelo Town Hall on April 16, 2024. All board members were present.

 

Supervisor Geier moved to accept the minutes of the March 12, 2024, meeting.  Second by Supervisor Brown, motion carried, 3-0.

 

Supervisor Brown moved to accept the financial report. Second by Supervisor Geier; motion carried.

 

The separation of the clerk and treasurer was tabled.

 

Ordinance Issues:

Tucker- Supervisor Brown reported that fining the renter is not easy.  He thought Mr. Tucker might be able to deal with Mr. Exline.

Williams in Lot # 1, responding to the lawyer letter with an email and pictures.  There are still two cars, scrap metal and parts.  Mike Jameson will check on the vehicles. We will give it another month before going to court.

Lot # 5 will be the next project.

Hahn has one junk vehicle and has gotten a letter.

Evans- Clerk sent letters to Evans and the mortgage company with copies of the lawn ordinance.  The lawyer said that the yard could be maintained and put on the taxes.  HDS Lawn service was asked to provide the lawn service.

Warner- the ordinances regarding building in the proximity of the landfill were enacted for the health and safety of the public. Within a quarter mile was considered a health risk.  Chairman Leverich asked that the DNR sent a letter absolving the town and all future owners of liability.  The DNR could be asked to come to a meeting.

 

There are no problems currently at the disposal center.  Frank was asked to take the batteries dropped at the disposal center to the Clean Sweep day.  Time and mileage would be paid.

 

Road Maintenance- Weight limit needs to be placed on Gemini.  Supervisor Geier was asked to speak to the highway people and remind them that the Inspiration needs to be the last road worked on.  Havenwood, Hilltop, and Infield need to be ready for Scott Construction.  Inland was damaged by the snowplowing.  Another road tour seems necessary.

 

97-12-9 needs the updated version to be signed in May.

Mobile Home Ordinance- Supervisor Geier moved that 60 and 90 be inserted with a new identifying number 12-24-4-16. Ordinance to be signed in May.  Second by Supervisor Brown; motion carried.

 

Fort McCoy will not spend money on roads they do not consider part of the fort. Therefore, Gemini will also be classed as a Class B Road.

 

The Monroe County Unit of the WTA passed a dues request for $100.  Chairman Leverich contacted Mr. Herrick and found that the organization needed a little funds to work with. Hence the one-time request for $100.

 

Supervisor Geier moved to approve the bills before the board. Second by Supervisor Brown, motion carried, 3-0.

 

Supervisor Brown moved to adjourn at 8:17. Second by Supervisor Geier.
