Town of Angelo Board Meeting Minutes for 2-13-2024

TOWN OF ANGELO

Town Board Meeting Minutes 2-13-2024

The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 pm. in the Angelo Town
Hall on February 13, 2024. All board members were present.

Supervisor Geier moved to accept the minutes of the January 9, 2024, meeting as on the website.
Second by Supervisor Brown, motion carried, 3-0.

Zac Zebell, our county supervisor, reported on the county board. The tentative plans for Rolling Hills
were explained. Decisions on long term plans resulting from ARPA hires will need to be reviewed. A
40-acre parcel was purchased near Norwalk, hopefully it will not only be a beautiful area for recreation
but will help with water management. Landfill costs need to be addressed. Fort McCoy and
contractor deposits lead to cost overruns. These should not result in taxpayer costs.

The 97-12-9 amended ordinance was reviewed. The amendment concerned storage containers
primarily. The board was not satisfied with the wording. Further thought and discussion is necessary.

The logging trucks are traveling on Highway 71 now which solves our concern for the town roads.

The board will meet on Thursday, February 15th at 9 a.m. at the highway department for a road tour to
plan the work for this year. Scott Construction will honor the quotes made last year for the planned
work not completed. The board will ask for quotes on work the county did not complete last year.
If it snows, the meeting will be held next Tuesday.

Lawyer letters were sent to Tucker/Exline, Stelter and Kuderer. The letter should have been clear that
the fines will be on the renter. Stelter has moved some vehicles. Hahn still has one. Nothing on the
Warner property or the Mobile Home Park. The dead trees at the park are real concern. The license for
the park may need to be reworked. There is not uniform signage for the park lots. The fire department can see a fire but the EMT people
cannot quickly find the right home. It may become a cost for the town.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve the operator license for Kylie Hanson. Second by Supervisor
Geier, motion carried 3-0.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve of the audit. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion carried 3-0.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve the approved, proposed salaries for the board. Second by
Supervisor Geier, motion carried 3-0.

The clerk will order the Board of Review Training packet. If any of the board decides to go to a
meeting, they can present the cost to the board for repayment.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills as presented before the board. Second by Supervisor
Geier, motion carried, 3-0.

Supervisor Brown moved to adjourn at 8:14. Second by Supervisor Geier.
Respectfully Submitted,

Mary Carlisle
