Resolution for Closing Gillette Avenue

Resolution 9-13-22

The Town Board of the Town of Angelo, Monroe County, Wisconsin, by this resolution,
adopted by a majority of the Town Board on a roll call vote with a quorum present and
voting and proper notice having been given resolves and declares as follows:
It is in the public interest that the access to Gillette Avenue from State Highway 21 be
discontinued with the cost of the intersection closure be covered by the state. The
Gillette Avenue intersects State Highway 21 at a severe angle
allowing eastbound traffic to enter at highway speeds and continue on this short
residential road. Westbound traffic has a extremely limited sight distance. This is
considered a dangerous intersection and that the access be closed. Access to Fort
McCoy would continue to be on Ginger Avenue.
The town clerk shall properly post this resolution as required under s.60.80.Wis.stats.

NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town Angelo adopted by
resolution to close the Gillette Avenue and StateHighway21 intersection on September
13, 2022 at the Angelo Town Hall.
The town clerk shall properly post this resolution as required under s. 60.80, Wis.
Stats.
