Town Board Meeting Minutes 9-12-2023
The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 pm. in the Angelo Town
Hall on September 12, 2023. All board members were present.
The height concerns in regard to the airport were meant as a general concern, not specifically brought
by anyone’s concern.
Supervisor Brown moved to approve the minutes from the August 8, 2023, meeting. Second by
Supervisor Geier, motion carried.
The Mr. and Mrs. Lathrop met with Luke Schmitz and Chairman Leverich to the discuss the plans to
handle the water problem affecting both property owners. It was decided to try ditching both sides of
the road first. If problems continue, a cross culvert could be installed. All involved would be part of
the decision.
Supervisor Brown moved to inprove the ditching on both sides of the road. Second by Supervisor
Geier, motion carried.
The class be liquor license for Havenwood Event Center was discussed. More information was needed
to make a decision.
Ordinances:
Crocker Property: There is a will and the board will request for probate. Chairman Leverich
moved to follow the lawyer’s advice and request probate. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion carried.
Stelter: One less vehicle
Bolling: Little activity.
Highway 16 property: Issues remain, but it looks better and the neighbors are happy.
Evans: Alter Credit Union is the contact. A letter should be sent to them. We don’t have his
address.
Mobile Home Park: Letter to be sent to request that they attend the board meeting. The law was
mowed but the dead trees remain and there is response to phone calls.
Kuderer: A letter needs to be sent to the owner and the renter regarding trash and vehicles.
A procedure for ordinance violation needs to be clearly stated. It is possible to put a lien on a property.
A letter needs to be sent to the Tomsovic family regarding trash in the recycle bin.
A flyer with recycling instructions needs to go out with the tax letter and be available at the disposal
center.
The brush pile is working well at the disposal center and appreciated. Burning of the pile and other
wooden items will be done safely this winter.
Nothing has been done with the Warner property.
Janet Evans reported that the webmaster has provided a plug-in feature on the website to use to upload .pdf files. The increase in the
website cost will be $3/month.
Goodwater is almost completed. Havenwood has not completed the patching. They will not continue the planned work this year. Scott said he would honor the quote. The plans are all in place so work can
begin in the spring. Work was done on Inland but not Infield.
Supervisor moved to give the Chair the authority to sign the annotated Lemonwire plans. (Crossing out
eh portion involving diggers hot line.) All ditching should be paid by them before work begins. Second
by Supervisor Geier, motion carried.
The ditching around the village of Angelo was quite abrupt. People need to be able to mow.
Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills before the board. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion
carried.
Supervisor Brown moved to adjourn at 8:14. Second by Supervisor Geier.
