Board Meeting Minutes 12-9-2025

 

The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 p.m. in the Angelo Town Hall on December 9th, 2025.

  1. Supervisor Brown had one change to the minutes of November 11, 2025. Greenbush Rd. was stated as being paved. It has been graded, not paved.  Supervisor Brown moved to approve. Second by Chairman Leverich. Motion carried 3-0.

 

  1. Pete and Elizabeth Jerman highway order. Change to property line. The town of Angelo gave them ownership of said piece. Supervisor Brown motioned to accept. Second by Supervisor Geier. Motion carried 3-0.
  2.  Discussion and Possible Action on Leo Heintz property – No action taken.

 

  1. Emplify Health presentation – Emplify has assumed ownership of Sparta Ambulance. Will continue to provide transport and critical care services under the direction of an ER physician. They are one of four accredited ambulance services in the State.  Cost will remain the same at $10 per capita, through 2026-27. The contract we hold with them will remain valid, so no new contract needs to be signed.
  2. Ordinance Issues: Letters went out late due to timing of town meetings, so there is nothing to report at this time except Stelter (see below).

  1. Disposal Center: sign down. Building needs rain gutter. Supervisor Brown said cost will be approximately $18. Frank may have a gutter which can be used.

Gates are dragging with snow buildup. Will be addressed.

  1. Roads – Heavy Trucks have been seen on Hazelwood and Hardwood. They may be in violation of road weight restrictions.  Larger companies will be sent a bill. Supervisors will document as they can. The signpost at the end of Havenwood near the old monastery is failing due to the weight of too many signs.  A taller post to accommodate fire numbers is being put up. Road closed signs as the entrance to Gillette will be removed by DOT.

 

  1. Clerk and Treasurer Updates – no update

 

  1. Discussion and Possible Actions for the Town Hall – siding and bushes will be dealt with in spring

 

  1. Public Comment – Jerry and Jayne Choate. Farming going on within 7’ of his property line, which is an easement.  This will be put on the January agenda. Contact Henry Haas as well. The Choates were referred to Jeremiah Erickson at Monroe County. They can also check Monroe County GIS for maps of property lines.
  2. Approval of Bills for Payment – Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills before the board. Second by Supervisor Geier.    Motion carried 3-0.
  3. Supervisor Geier moved to adjourn at 7:55 p.m. Second by Supervisor Brown. Motion carried 3-0.
