TOWN OF ANGELO

 Town Board Meeting

10-8-2024

The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 p.m. in the Angelo Town Hall on October 8, 2024. All board members were present.

Supervisor Brown moved to accept the minutes of the September 8, 2024 meeting as found on the website.  Second by Supervisor Geier, motion carried.

Jake Akers presented the plan his company has for the Babcock Pond property.

They plan a private road maintained by their organization with lots of different sizes the smallest is 1.5 acres.  The homes would be for single families. They are working with the county and shoreland zoning.  Perhaps they could check with the DNR.  They will need a letter to the county from the Town of Angelo.

Supervisor Brown moved to have the clerk draft a letter to the zoning department stating our willingness to work with the plan presented. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion carried.

Ordinance Issues:

Crocker: they are under orders to remove a list of problems or face eviction.  Wait and see seems the best for now.

Ian Cleary: Vehicles are removed and more replaced.

Tucker: Supervisor Brown is trying to speak with Mr. Tucker and is concerned he may be ill.

Devin Hahn: No response.

LaBarre: The renter has until the 30th to clean up the property.

Richards: They have been working hard and are ahead of schedule.

11781 Goodwater: There is a camper hooked to the septic system.  The clerk will send a letter to the owner with copies of our ordinances.  The building inspector should be contacted. They should have 30 days to act.

The Angelo Pond needs dredging.  Pat Neumann has the information on the work done by a local group and the funds they collected.

Disposal Center: the center needs a fire extinguisher.  Supervisor Brown moved to give Frank up to $200 to spend on the center needs without a formal request to the board. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion carried.

Road Maintenance:  Road work looks very good.  Hilltop is done.  Inspiration will have to wait.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills before the board. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion carried.

Supervisor Geier moved to adjourn at 7:21. Second by Supervisor Brown.

Respectfully Submitted,

Mary Carlisle
