Meeting Minutes 1/14/2025
Note: These minutes are a draft until approval at the next town board meeting on February 11, 2025
The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 p.m. in the Angelo Town
Hall on January 14th, 2025. All board members were present.
Supervisor Brown moved to accept the minutes of the December 10th , 2024 meeting as found on the
website. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion carried. 3-0 Motion Carried.
Fort McCoy Deputy to the Garrison Commander, Mr. Cameron Cantlon was present to discuss the
speed limit on Ginger Road– off Hwy 21 to South Post. There has been one fatal accident and one
major accident in this area. Discussion centered around introducing the idea of warnings on this
road and review items that could assist in reducing incidents of the nature of the road in this area.
(Possible poles with reflectors) Mr. Cameron Cantlon will put together some ideas to benefit both
parties.
Discussion on Gillet Road – speeding issues due to expansion in this area. This will be reviewed
with the DPW folks.
The alcohol bond at the Tomah Credit Union account is no longer needed as the establishment that
previously needed this bond is no longer in business. Supervisor Brown moved to close this account
and Supervisor Geier seconded. Motion Carrier 3-0.
A letter was sent from the Town of Angelo on Behalf of Brightspeed (Internet Provider) for
Broadband planning efforts.
Ordinance Issues:
Heintz Property: No action taken
Crocker: Continue to monitor and review.
Tucker: Situation is better but will continue to be monitored.
Ian Cleary: Vehicles issues are present. Continue to review.
Richards: General trash and junk cars still an issue. Continue to review.
14078 Co Rd (I) LaBarre : Mr. LaBarre is having Advantage Auto remove items due to renters health
problems. Continue to monitor.
Mobil Home Park – Everything looks good!
11781 Goodwater: Supervisor Brown will follow up throughout the month of January
14078 Co Hwy I (LaBarre – owner has renter): Continue to work with LaBarre for clean-up.
Disposal Center: Discussion on mattresses – review with county implications of a $50 per mattress
disposal fee.
Road Maintenance: Roadwork looks very good. Additional discussion of Class “B” signage.
The retirement party for Mary Carlisle will be held January 22nd, 2025, starting at 5 PM at Club Oasis.
Information will be posted on the website and paper contacted for possible article.
Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills before the board. Second by Supervisor Geier, motion
carried. 3-0 Motion Carried.
Supervisor Geier moved to adjourn at 7:50 PM. Second by Supervisor Brown. 3-0 Motion Carried.
