Town Board Meeting
6-8-2021
The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Treu at 7:00 pm. in the Angelo
Town Hall on June 8, 2021. All Board members were present.
Supervisor Brown moved to approve the minutes of the May 11, 2021 meeting with the addition
of an email was received requesting information using the freedom of information act. Second
by Supervisor Leverich, motion carried.
The Havenwood Event Center is requesting a Class B liquor license. They are not a “party
barn”and do not fit under those guidelines. They have been inspected by the state building
inspector. They use licensed and insured caterers. A business plan was presented to show that a
license was justified. The Board was encouraged to visit their facilities. The Chairman will
confer with the State alcohol people. The Board will call a special meeting to act on their
request.
Supervisor Leverich moved to approve the operator licenses requested. Second by Supervisor
Brown, motion carried.
Supervisor Leverich moved to approve the liquor license renewals. Second by Supervisor
Brown, motion carried.
Supervisor Brown moved to approve the park licenses. Second by Supervisor Leverich, motion
carried.
There was an active and concerned discussion of how we handle the wastes generated within the
town . The board and town residents feel we need to make changes. Chris Hanson will head the
disposal committee and the Board is looking forward to their suggestions.
Letters sent to those violating the Town’s ordinances is the first step. Then letters from the
lawyer. Getting an accurate address is difficult. The DNR was alerted to the problems on Hat
Ave. concerning oil from vehicles. We have not heard from them.
The road in the Snow subdivision is named Impact. Travis would like the the Town to take this
road over. Scott has double seal coated the road.
The Board will consider the creation of a Sanitary District. Research needs to be done.
Gillette Road is to be closed when Highway 21 is redone. It will go into the State budget at that
time. The Town has asked the County to put up speed limit signs.
Supervisor Brown moved to pay the bills presented before the Board. Second by Supervisor
Leverich, motion carried.
Supervisor Brown moved to adjourn at 8:50. Second by Supervisor Leverich, motion carried.
