Town of Angelo Annual Town Meeting

5-11-2021

The Annual Town Meeting was held Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Janet Evans moved to have the meeting run by the board.  Second by David Geier. Motion carried, Jim Leverich acted as Chairman and Mary Carlisle acted as Clerk.

The Annual meeting was moved from the third Tuesday in April to May 11, 2021 due to the limitations of the Board to be present.  There is no agenda for this meeting as it is the residents meeting.

Marla Leverich moved to approve the minutes from the 2020 annual meeting.  Second by David Stetzer, motion carried.

Concerns regarding the culverts on Inspiration and Janus Avenues were expressed.  Another road tour will be needed to address these issues.

The maintenance of our roads is the biggest concern.  More attention to the infra-structure is needed.

David Geier moved to approve the financial statement as presented. Second by Ernest Jahn, motion carried.

The quote for residential garbage pickup from MDS was presented and will be discussed at the June meeting. The Board will be looking into the creation of a Sanitary District which would allow the billing on the tax statements.

Mr. Ebert asked why the speed limit signs have not been posted in the village.  The Board has requested the County to install them.  The signs are not legal, so the County had been asked to install them anyway.   Mr. Ebert suggested that speed bumps be placed on Gateway for the safety of the residents.  There are several dog walkers and children in the area.

Janet Evans moved-to adjourn at 7:30.   Second by Ron Ebert, motion carried.
