Town Board Meeting 9-8-2020
The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Treu at 7:00 p.m. in the Angelo Town Hall on September 8, 2020. Supervisor Leverich was the only Board member absent.
The minutes of the August 11, 2020 meeting were read with no objections.
Under old business, Supervisor Brown moved to approve Mr. Quartermont of Carmichael and Quartermont at 916 Oak Street, Tomah, as the town lawyer. Second by Chairman Treu, motion carried.
Hopefully the Disposal Center will be cleaned up by the end of the month. Obtaining enough dumpsters has been a problem which has meant that trash has been put on the ground.
Ms. Evans reported on the progress of the town website which is townofangelo.com. Supervisor Brown was asked to consider creating a logo for the town. A significant amount of information can be added to this site. It is a work on progress and Mrs. Evans needs to be commended for her work. We have needed this for a very long time.
Pat Neumann and his committee have been quite concerned about the state of the wayside in Angelo. People from all over use this wayside and the sad state reflects on our area. Pat will be meeting with County the next day to discuss what can be done now and what will be done as the virus restrictions lessen. WTC has discussed the possibility of creating a parking area with the Town that would help create a safer access to the river.
The Streeter property need to go up for bids. The Board wants the bid to include their expectations for the property. The lawyer is working on the bid language.
Supervisor Brown moved to open the town hall for rental to the residents after the November election. Following the county health department sidelines would be expected. Second by Chairman Treu., motion carried.
The lawyer is working on the ordinance to issue citations. When approved it will be published, posted and on the website.
There is still some patching to be done on the town roads.
The roads in the Farmer’s Valley Subdivision have not been accepted by the Town. The developer is encouraged to require 18 inch culverts in the driveways.
Supervisor Brown moved to approve Jeff’s bonus. Second by Chairman Treu, motion carried.
Moe Amundson and Supervisor Brown have planned the safety screen to be used in the elections. It can be taken down and stored when not in use.
Supervisor Brown moved to pay the bills presented before the Board as well as that of the website designer. Second by Chairman Treu., motion carried.
Supervisor Brown moved to adjourn at 8:05. Second by Chairman Treu, motion carried.
