Town Board Meeting

 6-8-2020

The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Treu at 7:00 p.m. in the Angelo Town Hall.  All Board members were present.

The minutes were read  with no objections.

The holding tank for the shop on the Ken and Carol Ostrem  property at 13332 Inspiration was approved with the addition on the deed that the owner would be responsible for pumping the holding tank. The clerk will call to see if the deed has been changed.  The paperwork will be done for the holding tank after the deed has been modified.

Chairman Treu stated that he approved the disposal of the flowers from the Farmer’s Valley Cemetery.  The landfill attendant was doing his job and commended for it.  We support the Town cemeteries.  Chairman Treu suggested that the cemetery representative call first.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve Jeff’s bonus.  Second by Supervisor Leverich, motion carried.

The State ordered that the Town continue to have residents continue the recycling procedure.  Currently the materials are placed in the landfill.

The residents at the Annual Meeting approved the sale of the Streeter Property.  The Board will have a lawyer draft the legal notice with the Board’s expectations.

Janet Evans reported on her findings regarding a Town website.   The County is working on updating their website and would be able to upload Angelo’s information to the County site with a link to Angelo.   This appears to be the easiest and least expensive. Mrs. Evans will get a quote from another company to create our own site.

The Board will address updating the Town Ordinances beginning in July.

The road tour was scheduled for June 11, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. beginning at the Town Hall.  The Board would like to be able to meet with an attorney at this time as well.

The Town contacted three companies (Antony Brothers, the County and B. Anderson) for quotes to finish the Culverts on Gardener.  Supervisor Brown moved to approve Anderson’s bid and Jewels bid to re-stake the site for $1000 and the potential cost of moving the power line.  Second by Leverich, motion carried.

Supervisor Brown moved to approve the business licenses with the Club Oasis and Rite Spot being charged half price for their liquor licenses.  Second by Chairman Treu, motion carried.
