Town Board Meeting Minutes
9-13–2022
The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Treu at 7:00 pm. in the Angelo Town Hall
on September 13, 2022. All board members were present.
The minutes for August 9, 2022 were approved as posted on the town website.
The driveway for Dave Erickson is not a problem, however he does need a address sign for the cabin
for safety reasons. The clerk will contact him.
The policy for culverts needs to be addressed. It will be on the October agenda. The driveway permit
may then need to be changed.
Ian: There has not been much progress made. The process must begin again with a 30 day letter.
Chairman Treu moved that a 30 day letter be sent to Ian. Second by Supervisor Brown, motion carried.
Crocker Property: The lawyer suggested that the individuals living at the property be charged. The request for abatement
is October 3, 2022. After that date a court date can be set.
Evans: The property has been mowed.
Tucker Property: We have not been able to find a working phone number for either person listed as owners of the property on highway I. The board decided to have the lawyer send a letter.
Stelter: There are still tires to be removed. No progress.
Road Maintenance:
Chairman Treu suggested that Hilltop be looked at again. Perhaps only the top 1/3 is bad and that section be repaired rather than the entire hill.
Supervisor Brown was asked to contact Scott and get on his schedule for next year.
Supervisor Leverich will call on the Gardener project regarding the shoulder.
Supervisor Leverich, moved to approve B. Anderson’s bid. Second by Chairman Treu, motion carried.
Supervisor Brown will work with Brian on the project. The culvert is not included in the bid, nor is the Schmitz property.
Gateway has potholes and shoulder problems.
There is a right of way issue on Gateway the needs to be addressed.
Supervisor Leverich moved to purchase the lawn mower from Sears for the Disposal Center. Second
by Supervisor Brown, motion carried.
Supervisor Leverich moved to have the clerk replace the town printer. Second by Supervisor Brown, motion carried.
The 4-H club wants to have a cage to collect cans as a fund raiser. The Board is concerned about the looks at the town hall site. The disposal center already has a can collection for SACS. Frank would be willing to have another for the club. It was suggested that a can collection cage might work in the park.
Supervisor Brown moved to adopt the proposed resolution to close the intersection of Gillette and
Highway 21. Second by Supervisor Leverich. Motion passed by a roll call vote. Treu – aye, Leverich – aye, Brown – aye.
The Ordinance 101 will be on the October agenda, after lawyer Quartemont reviews it and offers his
suggestions for improvement.
Angelo is responsible for the towns association meeting in November. The clerk will discuss the meal
options with Josh at Club Oasis. Jack Herrick should be called to arrange speakers. The Commander
of Fort McCoy and the County Board Chairman were suggested as speakers.
More gravel is needed at the disposal center, B. Anderson will be contacted.
Chairman Treu moved that the Operator’s License for Jodeane Dierckes for the Eagles Club would
become legal, if there are no objections after being posted for 10 days. Second by Supervisor Leverich,
motion carried.
Supervisor Leverich moved to approve the bills before the board. Second by Supervisor Brown,
motion carried.
Supervisor Leverich moved to adjourn at 8:00. Second by Supervisor Brown.
